Spirit Mountain is a ski area, located in Duluth, Minnesota. It is one of the most well-known ski areas in Duluth and thanks to its vertical rise, it is considered to be the second tallest ski hill in Minnesota.

Spirit Mountain is famous for its intense Cross Country Skiing activity. Many people choose to exercise cross country skiing in this ski area, as they can find the best features here.

Spirit Mountain has a vertical drop of 700 ft/213 m, a base elevation of 620 ft/189 m and a top elevation of 1320 ft/402 m. The well-groomed trails in this outstanding forest make many cross country skiing enthusiasts visit this place every year.  After a major recover, the ski trails are no longer managed by the Spirit Mountain, but by a partnership between the City of Duluth and the Duluth XC Ski Club (DXC). There are 22 km/13 mi of trails, double tracked with skating lines. The well-known Pete Fosseide 5K trail has been replaced by a small maze of redirected trails. You also find 5 chairlifts, 1 Conveyor Lift, 1 Handle Tow and 1 Rope Tow.

Spirit Mountain enables you to exercise your activity at night as well. The trails open daily from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. Spirit Mountain is generally the ideal location for your winter fun getaway. After all, that’s what you come here for… endless FUN!
