The swell size starts working at less than 1 m/3 ft and holds up to 2 m+ / 6 ft+. For the wind, the best direction is the east and northeast. For the swell, the west direction is the best. There are body-board schools with experts, in case you need. In Ericeira, there are accommodation options and other activities that you can do when you need a rest from breaking the waves.
