Peniche has beautiful long windy beaches and can provide the right conditions for kite-boarding. Supertubos is a popular wave in the area and well known as the “European pipeline”, because it’s a really strong and fast one.

In summer, the waves are with swell size between 4-6.5 ft (1.3-2 m) most of the time and the wind blows onshore at 85%. In autumn, winter and spring the waves are with swell size between 6.5-10 ft (2-3 m) and the wind blows onshore at 63%, 58% and 73% respectively.
