Grew up in Latvia, started skateboarding when I was 11, in 2001 and in 2008 I moved to study Business to Barcelona for three years.

Afterwards I moved to London for my last year of studies and ever since then I have been living back home in Latvia, travelling the world with DC Shoes, Element skateboards and Red Bull teams! Most frequently I would travel to Barcelona, Spain and Long beach in California.

What are you looking for to accomplish?

I would like to be able to skate for as long as possible and stay healthy!

What would be your greatest achievement?

Full enlightenment would be cool to achieve, but difficult so let’s just say it would be great to be 50 and healthy, happy and skateboarding!

What kind of difficulties does your sport’s performance involve?

Injuries, rain, the police and other skate stoppers.

What makes you feel satisfied when performing your sport?

Landing a trick is the best feeling in the world or skateboarding downhill powersliding here and there!

Where do you practice your techniques when being alone?

Anywhere that has flat ground works!

What do you do during your training which is key to your success?

Rule number one is to have fun!

What are you most nervous about when competing?

Other people watching me, so I’m scared not to land a trick.

Who would you say is your biggest fan and why?

Probably my mom, because she loves me so much! She sometimes knows more about me than myself! haha

What is the best piece of advice you have been ever given?

Live in accordance with Yourself!

What are your future plans?

Film video parts for Element skateboards and DC shoes and keep going with my Youtube show “It’s a Mad World”

What are your tips for those who begin now?

Always have fun, do it Your own way and the more you do it the better you will get at it. Respect others!
