Balmoral Beach lies on the northern side of Sydney Harbor and provides with a number of local facilities, restaurants and cafes. It is a reef break that rarely breaks. Surfers can explore the waves with swell sizes from 5 ft-6 ft/1.5 m-2 m to 16 ft/5 m. The best wind direction is from the northwest and the ideal swell direction is from the northeast.
The best tide movement is rising tide and the best tide position is mid tide. The spot is appropriate for experienced surfers. In summer the wind blows offshore at 13%, in autumn the wind blows at 22%, in winter at 21% and in spring at 13%. Watch out for urchins. Note: this is the ideal place for surfers who hate beach crowds.
