Champagne Climb is located in the Banks Lake area, North of the town of Soap Lake. Once you park your car at the Blue Lake Fire Station, you will walk to the west and you will see the amazing frozen waterfall. There are two steep sections on this climb.
The first one is 196 ft/60 m high and leads to a knock off. You walk up the creek to start the easier 110 ft/33 m section. The skill level required to climb Champagne Fall is grade WI5. The route is vertical with good quality ice and good protection.
Once you reach the top, walk off to climber’s right, down climb through the cliff and rappel down. Champagne Falls is an exciting climb adventure for ice climbing enthusiasts. Climbers should take a 196 ft/60 m rope and eight to ten screws with them. Always check the weather conditions before you choose this climb.
