The H.A. Lumb is a 24 m/78 ft long steel trawler that was purposely sunk in 1994 by the Diving Association, thus creating an artificial reef close to the shore. She lies upright on the bottom, at 50 m/164 ft west of the Noarlunga tyre reef, in 20 m/65 ft of water and at 2.5 km/2 mi in the west of Noarlunga Jetty. Access is by boat from O’Sullivan’s Beach boat ramp.The wreck is covered with corals and is easy to penetrate, since openings were enlarged and unstable objects removed.
The site is addressed to advanced scuba divers. Maximum depth: 22 m/72 ft.
