Its name was given by Australian surfers in the 70’s, because of the Coca Cola factory on the island of Thulusdhoo. This reef break provides totally epic waves with right hand directions. The swell size starts working at 1.5-2 m/5-6 ft and holds up to 4 m/12 ft. In addition, the best tide position is low and mid tide and the ideal tide movement is rising and falling tides. Offshore winds blow from the northwest and the ideal swell direction is from the southeast.
The spot welcomes experienced surfers only. At summer the wind blows offshore 39%, at autumn it blows 44%, at winter 22% and at spring 54%. Keep in mind that specialized surf companies organize boat trips in the area, allowing surfers to perform their favorite sport and enjoy different surf breaks on the same day. Last but not least, the ideal season for waves here is during spring months. So, if you are a surfing junkie, there is no better place than Cokes to master the waves!!!
