Erlichsee is located in Oberhausen – Rheinhausen nestled between Mannheim and Karlsruhe. Erlichsee is a leisure center at about few hundred meters away from the B36.

The center offers camping with new and very sanitary facilities. It is a recreational center where many sports events are taking place on the spot. The beach is sandy with rocks and the parking lot is right in front of the water. The area is located directly on the lake and has a club house, a boat dock, a boat slip and 2 surf racks. Erlichsee is a famous spot for sailing.

The wind direction in its optimum form is west, northwest something that makes ideal conditions for sailing. The wind speed varies through the seasons but in its most common speed it is approximately 7 knots/8 mph. Average air temperature is cold in winter and hot in summer.

Although it is a great spot for water sports, it is not very crowded with sailing boats. So if you want to sail across the shore and admire the magnificent scenery that surrounds you any day with the appropriate weather conditions is a perfect day .

At the docks there are classes of boats that are the authorized SCOR: Hobie Cat, Laser, Strale, 470, Corsair and surfboards. Annually 3 – 4 regattas are taking place for over two days using the above instead of boats.
