Marion is a city situated in the Flint Hills and the county seat of Marion County, Kansas, U.S. The city was named in honor of Francis Marion, who was a Brigadier General of the American Revolutionary War, known as the "Swamp Fox".

Marion offers several historical places, where you can spend quality time. Apart from these spots, Marion hosts one of the most famous Motocross tracks, the Green Acres MX.

This motocross track is about 1 mi / 1.6 km long and sits at an ideal elevation of 1300 to 1350 ft/ 3 96.24 to 411.48 m. So, have an ecstatic day on an urban, man-made track, consisting of mostly loose dirt, some trees, little mud and little dust. The track is tailored so as to enable you for many small jumps and some large too. In addition, the track is covered by berms. Considering that you can ride simultaneously with other riders, overtaking will be your best! You find a few obstacles on the track, which are marked for your safety.

You can exercise your activity on Thursdays and Sundays. A membership is required, which is around $ 25 per family or $ 5 per rider per day. A spark arresting silencer is also recommended. The parking lot and entrance are free of charge, whereas for riding you have to pay $ 10.00 per rider. Green Acres MX is addressed mostly to amateur riders, some novices and little experts.

We wholeheartedly recommend to visit this spot, as it is utterly different to whatever has crossed your mind.
