Arrowtown is a small, former gold-mining town, situated in Otago region, in the South Island, New Zealand. It is only 20 min drive from Queenstown (connected through Shotover Gorge) and lies on the banks of Arrow River, one of the richest sources of gold in the 1860's.

Matroosberg Private Nature Reserve is an amazing 4×4 self -drive route, offering some challenging obstacles. The reserve covers a vast area including Matroosberg peak which stands at 2249 m/7378 ft. Driving here is an all year round activity, and an even more thrilling experience to tackle the route when it has snowed or after the rains and rattle in the mud pit!!
