The Free State is situated on the flat boundless plains in the heart of South Africa. Known locally as the "breadbasket" of South Africa, it is the agricultural city and most of its land is at 1000 m/3281 ft above sea level. It is the land of rugby, sunny skies and characterized by a continental climate, with warm to hot summers and cool to cold winters.

Bloemfontein is the capital of Free State and boasts wide skies with absolutely marvelous weather most of the year and great thermal activity, making it a perfect skydiving spot. Due to this fact, it is possible to achieve jumps from different altitudes.

The skydiving adventure begins with arming yourself with goggles and a well-built parachute flying in a plane 13123 ft/4000 m above the ground. You get to cruise the blue skies while feasting on magnificent scenery before free falling during 40 seconds of pure adrenalin rush!!

How to Get to Destination

BY CAR FROM Johannesburg
314km/195miles 3hours 13minutes
Head east towards Delvers St. Take the 2nd left onto Errors St and then turn left onto M31, continue with M31 to merge onto M2 via the ramp. Take exit 9 to merge onto M1 towards Bloemfontein. Then take exit 67 to merge onto N1/N12. Slight right on N1 and take the ramp on N5/R708. Continue with R708 and turn left on to Free State.
