Height:
439ft / 134m
Queenstown is considered by many sportsmen as the capital of extreme sports and adventure activities. It is situated in Otago region, in the South Island, New Zealand.

The town is surrounded by Lake Wakatipu and the awe-inspiring Southern Alps, with spectacular mountains such as the Remarkables, Cecil Peak and Ben Lomond. Queenstown and the surrounding area was the setting for the legendary films Lord of the Rings and X-Men Origins.

Despite the mountainous landscape, the climate can be characterized as oceanic, with warm summers and temperatures that can reach up to 30°C/86°F, and cold winters with frequent snowfalls.

Queenstown is the birthplace of bungee jumping (or bungy, as they love to call it here). Nevis Gorge is the place all bungee-jumping lovers should visit and experience. Here, at 439 ft/134 m above Nevis river, you will experience the highest land-based bungee jump in New Zealand.

A few meters further away you can enjoy the world’s biggest swing and be suspended at 524 ft/160 m above the canyon and the river. Enjoy the adrenaline pumping into your body when the fall changes to swing and vice verse.

Note: The Nevis Bungy and Swing are located in private property. Check with operators for transportation.
