Scenic Hot Air Balloon ride is the most fun way to enjoy views of the breathtaking Chenal Mountain, Pinnacle Mountain, Lake Maumelle and the Arkansas River. Typically, a Hot Air balloon ride is scheduled early in the morning, as it is the best time to catch the ideal wind, but it can also be scheduled early in the afternoon.
You will drift smoothly with a wind speed of 8 kph / 5 mph – 16 kph / 10 mph for a minimum of one hour and have the chance of a bird’s eye view of Little Rock’s beauties. A qualified balloonist will help you climb to 305 m / 1000 ft – 610 m / 2000 ft above the ground and provide a quiet and turbulence free flight.
Though the most flyable days are during March to October, you can always experience a winter flight (weather permitting). Launching points may vary, but you will talk on the phone with your balloonist the day before your flight and you will discuss the weather and the final details of your flight. Don’t forget the traditional champagne toast and of course bring your camera with you!
