Perth is the capital city of Western Australia, located on the Swan River. The climate here is classified as Mediterranean, with hot and dry summers and cool and wet winters. Cottesloe beach is a beautiful sandy beach that offers to locals and visitors a variety of water-sports. It is popular amongst surfers, kiters and windsurfers, as it provides great sea breeze conditions, especially from October to March. Windsurfers can explore the waves with swell sizes that start from 1 m/3 ft and hold up to 5 m/16 ft.

The best wind direction is from the south, southwest. In addition, the spot is suitable for more experienced windsurfers. In summer, the wind blows offshore at 48%, in autumn the wind blows at 55%, in winter at 39% and in spring at 43%. Keep in mind that windsurfers launching point is located on the south side of the beach. Note: be careful of sharks and locals.

Head south on William St / State Route 53 in Wesley Arcade. Continue along Riverside Drive / State Route 5. Continue to follow the State Route 5. Turn right at Eric St / State Route 71. Go through one roundabout. Turn left at Curtin AveStripste the 3rd right onto Forrest St. Go through one roundabout. Turn right into Marine Parade / Tourist Drive 204.
