Moffat Beach is a suburb of Caloundra that lies at 2 km/1.4 mi in the north-east of Caloundra's city center. The most remarkable location in Moffat Beach is the headland, around which visitors can find a plethora of accommodation options, good restaurants and stylish cafes.

Moffat beach is a popular tourist destination and attracts many beach enthusiasts. The site provides with the right conditions for windsurfing and surfing. Moffat beach is a point-break that is suitable for all surfers. Here you can explore the waves with swell sizes from 1 m-1.5 m/3 ft-5 ft and holding up to 2.5 m/8 ft. The best tide movement is rising and falling tides and the ideal tide position is all tides. The average water temperature is around 28°C/82.4°F in summer and around 20°C/68°F in winter.

Surfers are able to surf in almost any wind direction, but the ideal wind direction is from the south, southeast and the best swell direction is from the south, southeast. Keep in mind that, it is a crowded spot, especially during summer. Last but not least, apart from water-sports, you can enjoy coastal walks and admire amazing views, sites of historical interest and many attractions on offer in Caloundra. Note: be careful of sharks, rocks and localism.

Head northwest on George St toward Burnett Ln. Take the second left onto Ann St. Join Pacific Motorway/M3 via the ramp to Coronation Drive / Toowong Continue to follow the M3. Take the exit on the right towards Sunshine Coast. Join Boomerang St/M3 Continue to follow the M3. Take the exit toward Metroad 3/Sunshine Coast With controlled toll road. Enter the Airport Link toll M7. Take exit. Continue straight ahead. Slight right to Gympie Rd/A3. Continue on M3 (signs for Sunshine Coast / Nambour). Continue to Bruce Hwy/M1. Take exit Caloundra Road to enter the Caloundra Rd / State Route 6 to Steve Irwin Way / Tourist Drive 24/Caloundra/Landsborough Go through 1 roundabout. Turn left into Sugarbag Rd. Continue to Queen St. Turn left to stay on Queen St. At the roundabout, take the first exit to Edmund St. Slight left at Rinaldi St. Take the second right onto Seaview Tce. Turn the 1st right onto Queen Of Colonies Parade
