Catamount is a well-known ski area, which is located 45 mi/72.4 km south east of Albany. The ski area lies right on the New York and Massachusetts border, offering visitors unlimited relaxation and adventure as well.

Catamount covers a skiable area of 119 ac/0.48 km² with 33 trails and a terrain park. 40% of trails are formed for beginners, 27% for intermediate skiers and 33% for experts. It also has 6 lifts, 1 Quad Chairlift, 2 Double Chairlifts, 1 Triple Chairlift and 2 Wonder Carpet (beginner area). All trails are covered by 99% of snowmaking. In 4 mi/6 km of terrain, you will find 15 trails and terrain features for night skiing, including the half pipe and the park.

The resort is a blessed mix of jibs, rails, bumps and jumps. It offers a vertical drop of 1000 ft (300 m), a top elevation of 2000 ft (600 m) and a base elevation of 1000 ft (300 m). For beginners and first-timers, a ski school is available to teach them how to enjoy their favorite sport without fear.
