Shymbulak ski resort lies on Zailiyskiy Alatau mountain foothills, in the middle of Ile-Alatau National Park, at 25 km/15.5 mi away from Almaty city. With a magnificent landscape in the heart of Asia, Kazakhstan’s biggest ski resort, offers a unique combination of skiing and, at the same time, the experience to enjoy your sport vacations away from over-crowded classic winter resorts.

The ski area is served by a very special gondola cabin, based in Medeu, which with its 4.5 km/2 mi length is the third longest of its kind in the world. The resort has a downhill FIS certified trail. With its 3620 m/11876 ft long trails, Shymbulac resort is suitable to all ability levels. Its high altitude secures excellent snow conditions for a long period.
