BIO

"Chloe Roux-Mollard‏"

I ground up in Les Arcs all my life on skis, until 16 years old in Alpine competitions. Then I opened my practice to freeride with a wonderful playground all around Paradiski, and felt totally in love with mountain in general. Highlining, climbing, alpinism became my main activities, and travel around the world to meet other passionate people, share these passions and discover new spots in nature, a way of life.

I started Freeride competitions 3 years ago on the Freeride World Qualifier and progressed by my experiences to finish 4th in the European general ranking in 2014 and 3rd in 2015, 1st French. A challenge to continue progressing in skiing and mountaineering, learn more about me, my values and motivations, and a nice way to discover new mountains and friends.

INTERVIEW

What are you looking for to accomplish?

Live my passions while respecting my values, people and nature; Push my limits and the female level in sports where girls are less represented than boys.

"Chloe Roux-Mollard‏"

What would be your greatest achievement?

Walk long highlines (>100 meters). Open and repeat new skylines (highlines in mountain), which requires versatile skills. Finish in the 2 first female skiers in the FWQ European general ranking 2016.

Meditate every day!

What kind of difficulties does your sport’s performance involve?

Commitment and risk management request to know yourself really well, to have a nice self control and self confidence. But mountain stays always a potential dangerous environment and it’s necessary to be listening to nature elements, to learn about it through each experience, even if the risk 0 will never exist… Then it’s all about personal and mutual choices and decisions.

What makes you feel satisfied when performing your sport?

The Adrenalin is an incredible feeling, and being in the mountains with the people I love makes me feel a deep and pure happiness.

Where do you practice your techniques when being alone?

Les Arcs, my home and favorite place.

Be passionate and do it with the smile always, for fun to practice, learn and share.

Be Calm and Solid ;)

Maybe my parents who support me in all my choices as they see me happy and healthy.

What is the best piece of advice you have been ever given?

Live your dream, respecting nature and people, and the good energy you give will come back and fill you with happiness.

What are your future plans?

Many projects around the world with friends about ski, highline and mountaineering.
