Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's many apple cultivations.

Prusik Peak is located at the Stuart Range of the Cascades and is one of the most amazing peaks of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. It is considered to be a classic alpine rock climb in Washington State. The West Ridge Route is famous for its alpine scenery and the easy summit route.

The top elevation of the mountain is at 8000 ft/2438 m and is suitable for climbing from April to October. The skill level required for this climb is grade III, class 5,7. It can be combined with a two or three day adventure, as part of a tour of the Enchantment Lakes. Climbers can reach the peak in one day but a very good physical condition is essential.

West Ridge Route is a granite solid rock with five pitches, offering one of the best and most rewarding climbs on the Cascades. Once you reach the top, the view of the Enchantment Peaks and the Alpine Lakes, is amazing. If you visit Prusik Peak in early season, you will need an ice axe. Take a 196 ft/60 m rope and a small rack with you.
