West Dennis beach is a long, sandy beach, very popular among the beaches of Cape Cod in Massachusetts, USA.

The water is shallow, waist deep and warmer compared to the beaches close by. People who prefer West Dennis beach come here for wind surfing and beach sports, so during high season it gets very crowded. It has consistent winds coming from south and southwest, being the best wind direction.

The main wind direction is northeast, south, southwest and northwest. Good south and southwest winds blow in the summer months and this is the best time of the year to visit the location for practicing wind surfing. When the tide is low, it can be a perfect spot for beginners.

The spot provides surfers with facilities such as showers, lifeguards, playground and spacious parking but it is not for free. Many people don’t like the seaweed that are piling up across the beach, but it is a common phenomenon when there are strong winds. West Dennis has a variety of hotels, restaurants and attractions to choose from.
