The island of Barbados is standing on the eastern side of the Caribbean Sea and on the western side of the Atlantic Ocean. It is situated east of the Windward Islands, a small group of the Lesser Antilles. The capital city of Barbados is Bridgetown and is located on the southwestern side of the island.

Barbados is an island that combines comfortable accommodation and rich water sport life. Silver Sands is a beach, which many kiters and surfers visit to perform their favorite sport. The beach is standing on the southern side of Barbados. Silver Sands is a wonderful spot for Wind Surfing, feasible to all levels of surfers. If you are novice, you may take some lessons, in order to become an independent surfer. More experienced surfers can also learn new tricks or improve their moves.

The weather conditions in Silver Sands are almost perfect. The wind direction is coming from the North, Northwest and West. When the wind is strong, its intention can reach up to 16 knots/30 kph or 25 knots/46.3 kph. The good swell direction is coming from the East, Southeast and South.
