Barbados is one of the Caribbean's popular destinations. It's located on the eastern side of the Caribbean and west of the Atlantic Ocean. It is also lying east of the islands of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Its capital city is Bridgetown.

In Barbados you can find several places for the experience of surfing. Maycocks is an unspoilt place that all surfing enthusiasts want to be. It is a spot ideal for those who want to avoid the crowd and get to know the aggressive waves.

If you are a novice surfer, Maycocks is the best place for taking some lessons. On the other hand, if you are an expert, you have plenty place here for some challenging tricks. The spot is also not visited too much as it has difficult access. So before you get there ask for directions north of Speightstown. Once you park your car, you have to walk for about 15 mins and then you can enjoy your surfing activity for good.

The wave’s type is reef-rocky, its direction is from right and the sea bottom is sandy with rocks. In addition, the normal length is 50 to 150 m /164 -492 ft and during good days it can reach up to 150 to 300 m / 492- 984 ft. The good swell direction is from North, Northwest and West, while the wind’s best direction comes from East and Northeast.

Low and mid tide are the best tide positions and the swell size starts working at less than 1 m / 3 ft and holds up to 3 m+ / 10 ft+.
