Bolsa Chica State Beach is a state park located in the south of Huntington Beach community of Sunset Beach, in Orange County, California, USA.

Bolsa Chica is a lovely sandy beach, 3 mi/4.8 km away from Warner Avenue in Sunset Beach and south of the Seapoint Avenue. Bolsa Chica also offers excellent opportunity for bicycling.

There is a path that runs across the beach through Huntington City Beach. Bolsa Chica is popular for its manageable surf possibilities, so it is the perfect location to surf.

The sea tends to offer really good waves conditions and the swells are northwest/west in winter and south/southwest in summer. Range of the waves varies from 3 to 10 ft/1 to 3.5 m high, depending on storm activity during summer (from Central America or Mexico) or winter (from Alaska).

According to Bob Schloderer, one of the greater surfers, Bolsa Chica beach has one of the most consistent wave breaks in California, making it almost definite that the wave is good.
