Durban is a beautiful city and the biggest one in the KwaZulu - Natal. It has an amazing coastline, diverse landscape with the most spectacular mountain range in South Africa. Climate is sub-tropical with warm wet summers, mild frost-free winters and all year round sunshine. Its amazing sandy beaches stretch into the Indian Ocean with water temperatures at 19°C/66.2°F even during winter.

Durban is no doubt a surfer’s paradise!!! Kite Beach’s consistent wind directions, waves, and regular swells make it just perfect for a kite-surfing adventure!!

Kite-surfing in Kite Beach is open to both the novice and the expert and although it is considered an all year round activity, the best times for kite-surfing is from November to March.

Cross-shore winds predominant from the north-east and south-west, creating a perfect kite-surfing atmosphere with wind strengths at 10-25 knots and average swells at 1.2 m/4 ft. South-west winds are the stronger of the 2, with September and October hosting the strongest winds, while May and June have the calmest winds.

Head south onto R29 turning right to continue onto Wemmer Pan Rd. Turn left onto N17 then take exit 103 onto N3 heading to Durban, turn left onto Durban.
