Best wind:
Northwest, northeast
At 27 mi/44 km in the north of Aberdeen, there is a place called Fraserburgh, an ideal destination for kite-surfing.

Fraserburgh is a place that offers among others water sport activities like kite-surfing. The bay starts from the town of Fraserburgh until the eastern side of Cairnbulg Point. This area offers one of the best waves in the eastern Aberdeenshire.

During proper weather conditions on the bay, huge waves are produced, which can offer you an extreme kite-surfing experience. Be careful and avoid launching and landing during high tides as the dunes produce very turbulent winds. Best wind is northwest to northeast, but during western and eastern directions wind can be very gusty.

There is a car park, which will lead you to the beach via boardwalk over the dunes.
