BIO

"Dominic Lagacé Hi-5"

I’m from Quebec Canada. We don’t have ocean and we have summer for only 3 month out of the year. I’ve been riding wakesurfing for more than 10 years. I use to snowboard, wakeboard a lot and ocean surfing before Ι started wakesurfing.

Now I’m one of the ambassadors of the sport and one of the oldest guys who still compete in the pro division. I’ve been competing wakesurfing since 2004 and went to the USA in 2007 competing for the 1st time at world wakesurf championship and I took 3rd place. So far I have 4 podiums at world wakesurf championship, 1st USA national and won many other contests all over the world.  I won the tricks and the video of the year in 2014. I’m the 1st person who landed a varial flip on a wakesurf, called the (hi-5flip).

After that I got so motivated, I just keep on training and keep on competing in the USA. I also travel the world to compete and teach people. My goal is to help people to progress and share my passion with everybody to help making the sport bigger.

Now I have my pro model board by Liquid Force called the doum pro. Sponsors by Tige boats, rip curl, s3brdshp, drummondville marine. I also have a wake school in Canada called Hi-5.

Wakesurfing is just amazing. If you have never tried it, go out there and try it. It’s so much fun. Slow speed, no impact and good for everybody in the family, all ages.
