My name is George Kikos and I live in Athens, Greece. I spend my days practicing on BMX Flatland category which is basically ground tricks. I started at a very young age and got stuck with it as I was watching older riders practicing in various open squares around the city.
Having about 18 years of being a professional BMX Flatland rider, I have managed to reach the goals I always wanted. I now ride every day for 4 to 5 hours. For me, this is my life style and so much more. I have also participated in many contests around Europe! This is my one and true passion and while I ride around with my BMX, I feel alive – FLAΤLΑΝD for life!!
A good position in a big contest
That there are no closed parks or spots where I can practice. Other than that, injuries are part of the game
I practice my skills 25km away from home. I go there every day as it is the only place I can do it right!
My family and friends as well as many other people I think cause what they see is very different than what they’re used to see on a BMX.
Contests and a lot of good videos.
The Enipeas gorge has everything you would like to see and experience especially if you love nature and adventure, combining river trekking and canyoning! It is located on the eastern slopes of Mount Olympus in the area of Prionia at 1000m altitude, it is 6km in length and divided into three parts. Alongside the Enipeas gorge passes the most famous international trail E4.
We leave the cars at Milous (a tavern outside Litochoro village) and hike for 1.30 hours on the E4 trail, then enter the canyon at 470m altitude at the point where the Enipeas II ends. This section of moderate difficulty level is an ideal introduction to canyoning and accessible to people aged 14 and over. It is equally beautiful with lush vegetation, 7 rappels from 3m to 9m, swimming and enjoyable diving into the vathres (small lakes) with crystal clear waters.
In the end, after a downhill of 4.00 – 4.30 hours we reach Milous and the cars at an altitude of 300m (Altitude difference 170m).
The best time to visit the canyon is from June to August.
The Gorge Arini with a length of 4 km is situated near the built-up area Spilia, 2 km away from Arini. The morphology of the ground is such that Kompori hill is almost adjacent to the opposite hill of Spilia and both of them seem to be hugged. Out of this structure that was created by nature a deep ravine was formed from the old days, perhaps during the geological period, almost pathless, that reminds to the visitor the wonderful Samaria gorge. Through this narrow gorge, the waters of the river Anigros pass, which river springs from the mountain Minthi and flows into the Ionian Sea. Due to the heavy winters of the past and the abundant waters of the river, Gerania lake was formed at that place, of a relevant size and depth, which had been named “swimming school” by the young people of the village, because in this lake, they were taking their first swimming lessons.
