BIO

"George kiko"

My name is George Kikos and I live in Athens, Greece. I spend my days practicing on BMX Flatland category which is basically ground tricks. I started at a very young age and got stuck with it as I was watching older riders practicing in various open squares around the city.

Having about 18 years of being a professional BMX Flatland rider, I have managed to reach the goals I always wanted.  I now ride every day for 4 to 5 hours. For me, this is my life style and so much more. I have also participated in many contests around Europe! This is my one and true passion and while I ride around with my BMX, I feel alive – FLAΤLΑΝD for life!!

INTERVIEW

What are you looking for to accomplish?

George kiko

I want to keep improving myself and skills all the time

What would be your greatest achievement?

A good position in a big contest

What kind of difficulties does your sport’s performance involve?

That there are no closed parks or spots where I can practice. Other than that, injuries are part of the game

"George kiko"

What makes you feel satisfied when performing your sport?

BMX powers me up with great vibes and positive energy

"George Kikos"

Where do you practice your techniques when being alone?

I practice my skills 25km away from home. I go there every day as it is the only place I can do it right!

George kiko

What do you do during your training which is key to your success?

I try to only focus on the trick I’m about to try. Good psychology is the key to success

George kiko

What are you most nervous about when competing?

I’m not nervous at all cause this won’t help me concentrate. I try to keep my head clear.

"George Kikos"

Who would you say is your biggest fan and why?

My family and friends as well as many other people I think cause what they see is very different than what they’re used to see on a BMX.

What is the best piece of advice you have been ever given?

Keep up doing what you’re doing and don’t let others discourage you

"George kiko"

What are your future plans?

Contests and a lot of good videos.

What are your tips for those who begin now?

BMX-Flatland is a tough sport and there aren’t many who choose it. However if you really like it enough, nothing can stop you. With a lot of patience and hard work, you can make it!
