Almere is the youngest city in Netherlands. Τhe built of first house was finished in 1976 and the city became a municipality in 1984. It is a well structured city in the province of Flevoland, bordering with Zeewolde and Lelystad. Almere municipality comprises the districts of Almere Haven, Almere Poort, Almere Stad, Almere Pampus and Almere Hout. It is the largest city in Flevoland and the 7th biggest in the Netherlands.

Almere as a city has a lot to offer to skateboarders. The entire city is like an open skate-park where skateboarders are rolling around. You will find several skate maps and signed – posted routes of various lengths. In the city, the Queen Beatrix Park, lying between Kruidenwijk, Muziekwijk, Stedenwijk and Statesmen District is the perfect place for skate boarding.

The park is beautiful and full of trees and green, located at 4 m / 13 ft below sea level. Another asset of the park is its perfect location, just opposite the Oostvaanders train station.
