BIO

I was born and I live in Chamonix, I was on the skis at the age of 3, I’m felt in the freeride when I was 13, since this time I never stopped because the spirit is so free, you can go where you want when you want (if the conditions are good). I think it’s a reason of life!

INTERVIEW

What are you looking for to accomplish?

I just want to enjoy my life by living my passion, freeriding.

"Jordan Bricheux"

I like to compete not because you’re against other guys but because it’s a single fight when you are at the top of the mountain!

What would be your greatest achievement?

To have the chance to continue the longest possible time my career of freeskier and go filming on the greatest spots of the planet!

What kind of difficulties does your sport’s performance involve?

We need to be very implicated during a long period, and we have to be vigilant every time because Mrs. mountain is always the winner.

"Jordan Bricheux"

For the competitions also when you ride for yourself you need to know your limits and sometimes say NO because you don’t feel it!

Also, you need to have a good memory and work on it, I think it’s the hardest point of our sport because we can’t go on the venue before the comp.

What makes you feel satisfied when performing your sport?

I feel really satisfied when I’m at the bottom of one face and I did everything I had planned, because it’s really difficult to be exactly along your run where you have planned to be.

Where do you practice your techniques when being alone?

In my home resort of course, I’m leaving in Chamonix and there is an awesome playground. And you have lots of safe venues, so you can go alone to train yourself!

"Jordan Bricheux"

What do you do during your training which is key to your success?

There are different trainings, the first one is to do lots of run to be strong on your skis!

"Jordan Bricheux"

The second is to go at the bottom of a venue and do like if you are at a competition. Repeat Repeat Repeat.

What are you most nervous about when competing?

The waiting period at the top is horrible for me, I like to arrive, wait 5 minutes just the time to redo your line in your brain and go!

"Jordan Bricheux"

Who would you say is your biggest fan and why?

I don’t know … maybe my coach Greg Liscot, because he is following me since 2005 and during this time he is the first to push myself and to be happy when the results are good, and he is also here when it’s not good to refund the motivation!

"Jordan Bricheux"

What is the best piece of advice you have been ever given?

Live your dream !

What are your future plans?

For the moment I want to continue the competition, in the next seasons I want to go filming more, but I don’t really know, I take the life as it comes!

"Jordan Bricheux"

What are your tips for those who begin now?

Just enjoy, freeriding is free, I hope the spirit will stay like this because it’s really good!

Jordan Bricheux

Sorry for my “frenglish” :)
