BIO

"Magno Passos"

Professional bodyboarder since 2002,  competing in the world tour since 2006, best final result was in 2007, when I finished the world tour in 5th place, since then I`ve been among the top 28 riders in the world. In 2014 I finished in 9th place. Latin American champion in 2009 and 2010. One of the first bodyboarders to get a barrel in Jaws, the biggest swell of the winter in 2015.

World champion in Bodyboarding, and surf big waves.

What would be your greatest achievement?

World champion.

What kind of difficulties does your sport’s performance involve?

A lot of difficulties, like just keeping your body ready for the amount of competitions we have throughout the year.

What makes you feel satisfied when performing your sport?

Surf amazing waves, that makes me feel really satisfied.

Where do you practice your techniques when being alone?

Right now, in Hookipa beach, Maui.

What do you do during your training which is key to your success?

Focus on my training, keep my head in the right spot is the key to achieve my goals.

What are you most nervous about when competing?

I think what makes me more nervous is just the thought that we only have a few minutes to perform, and dealing with ocean is hard because we never know what’s next when you out there.

Who would you say is your biggest fan and why?

I would say my biggest fan is my mon, she loves everything i do J

What is the best piece of advice you have been ever given?

Be humble, and always look back from where you came from.

What are your future plans?

Compete the world tour and surf giant waves.

What are your tips for those who begin now?

Be disciplined to get to the top, you have to have determination, and without it, we go nowhere.
