Great Arber (Großer Arber) is the highest peak of the Bohemian – Bavarian mountain ridge and reaches at an elevation of 1456 m/4777 ft height. The spot lies at 197 km/122 mi in the northeast of Munich. Geographically, it belongs to Bohemian Forest, so you might notice that people refer to it as ‘King of the Bavarian Forest’.

Snow Shoeing in Timberline Lodge, Portland, Oregon USA
This resort provides a long skiing season for its visitors, starting early in November until May. Timberline Lodge has elevation at 6000 ft/1828.8 m and includes 41 trails separated as following: 25% of the trails are for beginners, 50% for intermediate athletes and 25% for the more advanced athletes.
During winter, it has capacity of 9,869 people every hour at its 1415 ac/5.72 km² of ski area. The snowfall is estimated at 400-500 in/1016-1270 cm per year and serves visitors with high speed lifts.
It features a freestyle terrain with artificial and natural elements, perfect for practicing freestyle techniques and jumps. A fantastic way to explore the beautiful scenery of Mount Hood and Timberline Lodge is by snowshoeing. You can try the great terrain for your mountain experience and then use the Express chairlift to get back on top.
