Puerto Rico is situated in the northeastern Caribbean and consists of an archipelago that includes the main island of Puerto Rico and a number of smaller islands. The climate here is classified as a tropical marine climate, with an average temperature of 82.4°F/ 28°C, throughout the year. Although it is a small island, the smallest island of the Greater Antilles, Puerto Rico provides superb natural surroundings, countless adventure experiences and many places of historical interest.

You can either lose yourself in the beauty of endless beaches, with white sand and clear, turquoise water or enjoy one of the many activities on offer. Sheraton is a very popular surf site that provides very consistent surf.

It is situated east of the capital city, San Juan and it accommodates the more experienced surfers. The optimum wind direction is from the south and the ideal swell direction is from the north and northwest. Surfers can explore the waves with swell sizes that can start from 1 m-1.5 m/3 ft-5 ft and hold up to 2 m/6 ft. Note that, the best tide position is mid and high tide and the bottom of the spot is sandy. In addition, Sheraton offers both left and right hand waves.

If you are looking for a relaxing place, then Sheraton is definitely not your choice, as it is usually very crowded. Keep in mind that there is limited parking, so you should arrive very early to the beach, in order to park near the spot. Note: be careful of urchins, rocks and rips.
