Shymbulak ski resort lies on Zailiyskiy Alatau mountain foothills, in the middle of Ile-Alatau National Park, at 25 km/15.5 mi away from Almaty city. With a magnificent landscape in the heart of Asia, Kazakhstan’s biggest ski resort, offers a unique combination of skiing and, at the same time, the experience to enjoy your sport vacations away from over-crowded classic winter resorts.

The ski area is served by a very special gondola cabin, based in Medeu, which with its 4.5 km/2 mi length is the third longest of its kind in the world. The resort has a downhill FIS certified trail. With its 3620 m/11876 ft long trails, Shymbulac resort is suitable to all ability levels. Its high altitude secures excellent snow conditions for a long period.

Follow M39 and entry to Kazakhstan. Take the exit toward Sain St. and pass by Sino Oil. Turn right onto Zhamakaev St. and turn left onto Akhmediyarov St. Turn right onto Dostyk Avenue and continue onto Gormaya St.
