Cleveland is the most populous city in the state of Ohio and the county seat of Cuyahoga County, United States of America. It is located in the northeastern Ohio right on the southern shore of Lake Erie, only 60 mi/97 km west of the Pennsylvania border.

If you decide to go skiing in Ohio, there is an awesome ski resort surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Lake County Metro Parks. Big Creek Ski Area is situated on a hill, placed in the heart of the Snowbelt with the best elevation in Ohio, making the resort the place to be!

The base of the trails stands at an elevation of 1290 ft/393 m, while the summit reaches 1465 ft/446 m of elevation. The resort is mostly suitable for intermediate skiers, as there is a percentage of 60% (3 trails) of trails available for them. The other 20% of trails is for beginners (1 trail) and 20% for experts (1 trail).

There are 5 runs. The Easy Street, a fun run that wraps the western side of the hill, The Chute, a challenging hill that wraps around the chalet, the Estes Bowl, a bowl formation when gazing to the bottom of the run, the Show Off trail, a hill with an observation deck perfect for your viewing pleasure and the Zot, an almost vertical double black diamond that is nestled in the trees.

The facility owns a snow making equipment, so if there is not enough snow, they will definitely make some! The annual snowfall is 102 in/260 cm though. The 23 ac/0.10 km² area has a vertical drop of 175 ft/53.3 m, making it ideal to develop speed. It is one of the best ski resorts in Ohio and it is highly suggested to pay a visit and enjoy a day skiing alone or with your friends.
