BIO

"Noah Avallone"

I love to stand sideways on boards…snow, surf, & skate. I am fortunate to live in NYC year round, Montauk, NY during the summer & Vermont during the winter. This enables me to embrace skateboarding year round, surf in the summer and snowboard in the winter.

"Noah Avallone"

I mainly focus my competitive energy into snowboarding and some surfing competitions. Skateboarding helps me maintain the core that contributes to my success on the mountains and in the ocean.

INTERVIEW

What are you looking for to accomplish?

I would like to continue progressing standing sideways.

"Noah Avallone"

What would be your greatest achievement?

I would like to compete on the highest levels. Gold duct tape at the Legendary Banked Slalom at Mt. Baker, WA would be epic. Making the US Snowboard team would be a dream.

What kind of difficulties does your sport’s performance involve?

Going bigger and bigger on jumps with more and more spins increases danger for sure.

"Noah Avallone"

What makes you feel satisfied when performing your sport?

When I’ve performed to the best of my ability and it is good enough to win.

Where do you practice your techniques when being alone?

Board sports you are always practicing alone, even when you are with family, friends, and/or coaches.  No one can ride for you.

What do you do during your training which is key to your success?

I repeat tricks until I have them on lock.

What are you most nervous about when competing?

Whether or not I am going to land my run that I’ve practiced.

"Noah Avallone"

Who would you say is your biggest fan and why?

My parents because they are most proud when I do well.

What is the best piece of advice you have been ever given?

It’s not who you beat, it’s who you meet.

What are your future plans?

I plan to do more surf comps this season, continue to skate, heading to Woodward, PA again for camp.

"Noah Avallone"

What are your tips for those who begin now?

Have fun and progress at your own pace.
