I am Marios Polychroniadis, known as Marios Pol. and I am Urban Freestyle Trial-X Rider since 2007. The last 4 years I am focused on making my own video productions, doing trial all over Greece. The entire trial world knows me through my special videos and my love for freestyle trial.
I love organizing shows and trial events, with famous trial riders and participating with them. My goal is to make people interested to trial and understand how incredible and special this sport is. I want to travel all around Greece and make videos with different concepts showing all the beauties of my country and promoting with this way Trial-X.
Trial-X is my passion and when I ride my bike I feel alive. It makes me wanna set new goals and makes my craziest dreams come true.
- 2009: I organized in collaboration with Red Bull (in Mall Athens) a trial show and participated with Julien Dupont.
- 2010: I was qualified as one of the best 10 trial riders in Gorcia Park of Southern France, conducted by Red Bull France
- 2011: Trial Show for Athens Supercross
- 2011: I participated to Red Bull Donkey Cross, in Makrinitsa
- 2013: I participated to the Red Bull’s video on Milos island with Julien Dupont
- 2015: I organized the trial school in Athens with the championship Loris Gubian
I am looking to accomplish all my future goals that I have set. I train almost every day to become stronger and better rider.
I would like to participate in some world trial championships but my main goal is to make many video productions doing trial all over Greece, because freestyle trial is my passion.
My greatest achievement would be to participate to something big and become instigator for younger riders and bring about their horizons.
I think that a big difficulty is that many times I have to fight with my mind and with the sense of fear. But so is the game: I have to surpass my limits and overcome all the obstacles. So the greatest difficulties can be at the same time the greatest pleasure.
Trial means you can ‘try all’. Every obstacle is a different trial and the feeling of riding whenever and wherever I want, converting my town and the places I visit to trial sections· is incomparable and unique. I love doing freely what I adore most.
When I train alone, I usually find places close to my home. The good thing with trial is that you can practice everywhere and anytime, so I always find a good spot for practicing new freestyle tricks.
The key of success is to be focused and know your limits. This is generally my way of thinking. Every time I practice I enjoy the moment and I try to have a good time, because good psychology is the key.
Being nervous and having bad mood is something that never helps in trial. A trial rider must be all the time focused and really calm.
My biggest fan is definitely my wife. First of all she is the person who is behind my videos and doing my photo shootings and she always helps me making my new ideas come true.
Someone gave me once the priciest advice: ‘’To proceed in your life you should socialize with people who you‘ll learn from them and will give you only positive things and not to people who are trying to keep you down.’’
For the next years I have scheduled some trips for making new video productions.
Also I would like to take part in some commercials and showing that Trial is not a common motorsport. Finally one of my plans is to act as a stunt performer in a movie.
Recreational scuba diving is the name given to the use underwater breathing apparatus (tank – BCD – breathing regulator) – in fact, “scuba” is an acronym for “self-contained underwater breathing apparatus”!
There are many international diving organisations, but the most well known and the one that trains the most divers is PADI.
If you wish to become a certified diver, but you don’t have a lot of spare time, then the PADI Scuba Diver course is your best option. This certification requires less time and covers a portion of the Open Water Diver course.
- You are in good general health.
However, it should be noted that anyone can dive regardless of their physical condition (within reason) because diving is more about hovering in the water than it is about swimming.
You will be asked to complete and sign a medical questionnaire and, if necessary, you will be asked to provide a medical certificate.
What the course entails:
- In the theoretical part of the course you will learn about diving equipment (suits, tanks, breathing regulators, etc.), the physical laws governing the sea, elementary medical issues, planning dives, etc.
- The practical part of the course covers a wide range of simple diving skills in which you will learn, for example, how we move and breathe underwater to how we remove water from our masks without having to head to the surface.
- The theory part takes about 4 hours and is completed in 2 days (the theory is conducted alongside the actual dives).
- The practical lessons consist of 5 dives (from an initial depth of 1.5 m/4 ft up to the maximum (for OPEN WATER) of 12 m/39 ft).
The dives take place over 3 days (2 dives a day) and usually require a weekend, but the program can be configured according to your needs…
With the PADI SCUBA DIVER course you can dive to 12 m/39 ft, but you must always be accompanied by a Divemaster or Instructor. In addition, you can always continue and complete the full Open Water Diver course later on.

The wonderful evergreen region of Messinia is located in Southwestern Peloponnese. With its peaceful and unspoiled lands, seductive beaches, lush gorges, stately castles and impressive ancient sites, this place is a must explore spot.
Our journey consists of some of the best activities and historical sites in the Messinia region. South of the Messinia region, starting from the Neda river and the stunning Temple of Apollo Epicurius or the Parthenon of Peloponnese.
Day 1. Pick up from Athens or Kalamata airport to Kalamata
Kalamata is the capital city of the Messinia region with numerous historical and cultural sites as well as a beautiful seafront and a vibrant nightlife. We get settled in at the hotel and have the rest of the day off to get to know each other, go sightseeing, eat great food, enjoy a refreshing cocktail and prepare for the next day.
Day 2. –River Trekking in Neda (summer season only from June to September): 4 hours (from Kalamata to temple of Apollo and Neda)
Neda river lies on the borders of Ilia and Messinia region and is the only river in Greece with a feminine name. Driving from Kalamata, before we reach Neda river we make a stop at the stunning Temple of Apollo Epicurius or the Parthenon of Peloponnese.
Arriving at the spot where our river trek starts, the breathtaking scenery will definitely amaze you. As we trek through the river gorge, we pass through narrow cliff openings no more than 1.5m wide at some points where we have to swim crossing stone bridges and underwater caves until we reach the spectacular Neda waterfalls. After the activity, we set off to Kardamili where we spend the night.
Day 3 – Sea Kayaking – Hiking Kardamili in Mani Messinia: 5-6 hours with breaks
Once we arrive at our activity base, we get our kayaks and begin to enjoy an excursion at the foot of mount Taygetos where each little cove hides a special surprise. Hidden caves, cliffs with spectacular formations and unique beaches such as the well hidden beach of Foneas with the white pebbles or the beach of Kalogria with fine golden sand and turquoise waters. The beach of Kalogria is also known as the beach of Zorbas, as this was the place where writer Nikos Kazantzakis met his hero of his book, Zorba the Greek. Halfway we make a stop for swimming, snorkeling and a picnic with local traditional delicacies.
Our tour starts from the fortified tower houses of old Kardamili as we follow the path that once was part of the ancient so called ‘’royal road’’, connecting Kardamili with Sparta. Along the way, we walk through the narrow streets of the traditional villages as we learn about their history. A small break for a healthy picnic with traditional local delicacies gives us an additional supply of energy. A burst of colors and fragrances of flowers and herbs overwhelm us and bring us even closer to the natural environment. We walk through an easy route, sometimes a stone built path and sometimes a shady pathway, immersed in olive trees, pines and cypress trees.
Day 4. Scuba Diving Kardamili in Mani Messinia. DSD Course for beginners or an Exciting Dive for Certified divers: 3 hours
What a great way to Discover Scuba Diving (also called DSD ). This is an application of recreational diving in which an un-certified diver uses a scuba set to breathe underwater under the direct supervision of a qualified instructor. Arriving at Kalogria beach we set foot on the diving center where we prepare ourselves for a dive. The dive site has an amazing sandy bottom with crystal clear visibility and offers many surprises to explore such as grass lands, caverns and rocky reefs. The area is also characterized by fresh water springs which emerge from underground caverns into the sea-floor.
If you are a certified diver we can schedule a exciting dive from the shore or boat.

Antonis is into action sports since a very young age. Despite living in the city, he has never been a city boy. He studied Electrical Engineering; however, his real passion is nature and outdoor activities. Everything started when he first got his feet on a snowboard. From that moment on, he couldn’t wait for the weekend to come and leave the city.
Traveling is also a big passion for Antonis. While travelling in South East Asia, he got interested in scuba diving and guess what! He is a PADI scuba instructor now. The element of water is everywhere in his life. Since 2005 he is a Rafting, River Trekking, Hiking guide but even that was not enough!
Sea Kayaking was coming his way, so he did that too and now he is a 3 star BCU (British Canoeing Union) paddler. But that’s not all. He has tried everything from surfing to sailing, windsurfing to climbing (and babysitting as well !!!)
- Positive energy.
- Good looks.
- He gets really really, REALLY enthusiastic once in the outdoors.
More facts: Studied Electrical Engineering in Greece and took his Masters degree in London U.K. Works as an engineer since 2002. During the winter season, he goes snowboarding and at least once a year he travels somewhere far away from home.
What else… his friends call him little Antony because they say he will never grow up. Want to meet him? E-mail us for more info on the amazing South Peloponnese Adventure Tour!
The 5 day activity tour in Peloponnese is organized with the cooperation of major outdoor activity companies in the Messinia Region.
