Pot Peak Trail is located on the Cascade Mountain, close to Lake Chelan. It is 28.7 mi/46 km long, (loop trail) and has an elevation gain of 5000 ft/1523 m. The best time to bike this trail is between May and October. This ride is not suitable for beginners because it has a lot of steep uphill climbing and technically difficult single-track descents.
Even for an advanced biker, this is a very challenging trail and requires perfect physical condition. The 2000 ft/609 m downhill is long, fast and technical, but lots of fun. At the bottom of the trail, there is a campground where you can rest, because this loop ride is exhausting. Pot Peak Trail is a must for those who take mountain bike seriously. Don’t forget to take with you plenty of water, energy snacks, a map and a compass.
