Nauset Light Beach is a nice surfing spot in Cape Cod, ideal for weekend getaways.

Best time to visit during the day is in the evening, when most of the crowd has scattered. It is suitable for all levels of experience and most of the people visit this spot for surfing, but you can see people windsurfing and kitesurfing as well. The beach is easily accessible and there is a lot of accommodation and restaurants close by to Eastham.

The wind most of the times comes from west or northwest. The best swell direction is Southeast, East and Northeast. Good wind direction is Northwest and West. The swell begins to build from 1 m-1.5 m/3 ft-4 ft and can reach up to 3 m+/9 ft+. Best time to visit is early fall and winter.

The water is really cold but it’s worth it. Most of the times you will find good winter swell and few people around.

How to Get to Destination

BY CAR FROM Airport Road
22.9 miles (36.854 km), 34 minutes
Use exit 10 to enter MA-124 S/Pleasant Lake Ave, turn left on Queen Anne Rd and remain on it to turn right on MA-137 S/Meetinghouse Rd and again right on MA-137 S/Meetinghouse Rd. Turn left on MA-28 S/Main St and right on Barn Hill Rd. Last turn right towards Hardings Beach Rd and you are there.

Enter I-93 S and take exit 7 on the left towards Cape Cod. Continue on MA-3 S, then U.S. 44 E, towards MA-3 S and US-6 E. On exit 10 enter MA-124 S/Pleasant Lake Ave, turn left on Queen Anne Rd and remain on it until you reach MA-137 S/Meetinghouse Rd where you should turn right. Then again right on MA-137 S/Meetinghouse Rd, left on MA-28 S/Main St, turn right on Barn Hill Rd and finally last turn right on Hardings Beach Rd.
