Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's apple cultivations.

Stevens Pass Ski Resort is located at the boarder of King County and Chelan County, on the Cascade Mountains. The base elevation is at 4061 ft/1237 m and the summit of Cowboy mountain is at 5845 ft/1784 m high, with a vertical drop of 1800 ft/548 m. The resort offers 37 major runs that spread in over 1125 ac/4.55 km², on three sides of two different mountains.

Snow-skaters love it because of the quality of the powder snow and many days of sunshine. The base facilities include bars and restaurants, retail shops, lesson centers, childcare, first aid operations and a ski gear rental center.
