Kiteboarding / Kitesurfing in The Chicken Shop Beach, Adelaide, South Australia Australia
Adelaide is a popular destination for the lovers of kitesurfing, offering a great number of beaches, suitable for this extreme sport. The Chicken Shop Beach, situated on the west side of the city, is one of the most popular ones among the local kitesurfers especially during summertime.
The beach hosts the windiest sea-breezes in the whole coastline (10-26 kn/18.5-48 kph) and is therefore perfect for some good jumps. The winds are usually South-Easterlies, whereas the water can be choppy at times, due to the strong breezes.
Note: Be careful of the swimmers on lighter wind days.
