Cozumel is an island in the western Caribbean Sea. It is located on the eastern side of Playa del Carmen in the eastern Mexico. Passion Island is standing at the northern coast of Cozumel. The largest town of the island is San Miguel de Cozumel. Pasion Island is a kite-boarding spot, addressed to all levels of kite-boarders. Since there is no roadway leading to the beach, you have to walk for approximately 20 minutes.

The wind strength is quite strong at Passion Island and it ranges from 16 knots/30 kph to 25 knots/46.3 kph. As for the wind’s direction, it is East and North-East. Generally the period lasting from November to August offers some exciting kite-boarding weather conditions.

More specifically, beginners may take some lessons during May and June when the winds are weak. Experts will certainly choose another month for kiteboarding at Pasion Island.
