BIO

"Jan Kanurek"

You’ll find me in the east of the Czech Republic and my favorite area to be in is Moravia. I’ve been doing sport since I was small, I started with athletics, football and gradually moved to adrenalin sports. Skateboarding, snowboarding, wakeboarding, wakeskate, parkour, workout etc.

My job is to motivate others and help them to reach better results. My greatest help in this is the best Czech adrenalin team Zabil.cz, thanks a lot, guys!!!

INTERVIEW

What would you like to accomplish?

Peace and calm :-)

"Jan Kanurek"

What would your greatest achievement be?

I pass on my experience to others and I consider it an achievement when someone follows in my footsteps. What my greatest achievement would be though, I don’t know yet. I guess the peace and calm :-)

What kind of difficulties does your sport performance involve?

It’s difficult when I get injured and I don’t have the finances to get back on my feet quickly. Otherwise nothing really bothers me…

"Jan Kanurek"

What makes you feel satisfied when performing your sport?

Why, adrenaline of course ;-)

Where do you practice your techniques when you're alone?

I don’t have a coach, I’m used to training alone, but lately my wife’s been helping me a lot, which I’m really grateful for.

"Jan Kanurek"

What do you do during your training that is the key to your success?

Hard work, concentration, enjoying myself and in no way thinking about success. I do sport because I find it fun and fulfilling.

What are you most nervous about when competing?

I’m not nervous, it’s no big deal, is it? ;-)

"Jan Kanurek"

Who would you say is your biggest fan and why?

I think my biggest fan is my wife, because she always believes in me and supports me in everything, even my training at the gym, so that I’m healthy and OK. In my wife’s eyes I’m always a winner.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?

"Jan Kanurek"

That if I want to stay at the top of my game for as long as possible I have to pay attention to what I eat, make sure I get time for rest, recovery etc. Because if I spend more time on preparation then everything is much easier, and by that I mean mainly training, shows and competitions.

What are your future plans?

To build or buy a house, support my family and try and carry on in sport for as long as possible.

What are your tips for those who are beginning now?

Whatever you start to do, do it thoroughly and the more time you spend on preparation and diet, the better everything will go. And if you have the possibility, get yourself a good team (coach, physiotherapist, doctor etc.)
