INTERVIEW 2015.01.20

What are you looking for to accomplish?

My partner and I have in mind a big project with our association WeTravel WeSurf, of which we don’t want to say too much right now for a good luck.

What would be your greatest achievement?

Actualize the project with my association.

"Elena Bertolini "

What kind of difficulties does your sport’s performance involve?

Some times you may not feel up to the sea conditions. The only way to overcome these difficulties is training a lot and trying to overcome the limits we set ourselves.

What makes you feel satisfied when performing your sport?

Being able to overcome the limitations that I pose.

"Elena Bertolini "

Where do you practice your techniques when being alone?

The past year I have lived in Australia and, as you can imagine, there are not many spots where you can surf alone. Anyway, something that I don’t really enjoy because I think that watching others is a very big source of learning, especially if they are better than you.

What do you do during your training which is key to your success?

First, try to have fun. If I’m happy all the rest comes by itself.

"Elena Bertolini "

What are you most nervous about when competing?

To think that I am participating in a competition… eheheh

Who would you say is your biggest fan and why?

My partner and my parents. Because they have always supported and endured me with great passion and patience.

"Elena Bertolini "

What is the best piece of advice you have been ever given?

Have fun, always.

What are your future plans?

Trying to actualize the project with my association WeTravel WeSurf and return to Australia.

"Elena Bertolini "

What are your tips for those who begin now?

First of all, have fun. Do not give up at the first difficulty and above all believe in yourself. Aloha
