Pärnu, the historical seaside city in the South-West of Estonia is the official Summer Capital of Estonia and the host city of the 12th consecutive “DC Kuldrula” festival - one of the first Extreme Sports Festivals in the Baltics. Kuldrula means “The Golden Skateboard” and it was first held in 1980.
Xtreme Endurance at The North Face Zagori Mountain Running
Zagori awakens from winter lethargy and is getting ready to host for the 5th consecutive year all mountain racing fans, through the organization of The North Face Zagori Mountain Running 2015.
Nature enthusiasts and athletes will have the unique opportunity to run in the 80km/49.7mi, 42km/26mi, 21km/13mi and 10km/6.2mi races and test their endurance in the breathtaking and challenging landscapes of Tymfi and Zagori.
Participants will cross the amazing Vikos-Aoos National Park, part of the Natura 2000 ecological network and one of UNESCO Geoparks and will enjoy the distinctive beauty of Tymfi’s mountain range, Vikos gorge, Drakolimni lake, Voidomatis river as well as the incredible network of mountain villages called Zagorochoria.
