Between Himalayan giants Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, on the edge of the Tibetan Plateau, lies the legendary kingdom of Mustang. Mustang is the former Kingdom of Lo, where Tibetan is still spoken. The Upper Mustang comprises the northern two-thirds of Mustang District of Dhaulagiri Zone.
Pokhara is the third largest city of Nepal and its location is usually referred the one city being close to the heart of the country. North of Pokhara and at about 200 km/124.4 mi west of the capital city of Kathmandu, lies the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek.
Saribung Peak is located in the Upper Mustang massif, alongside the Annapurna Conservation Area in Damodar Himal. In the foothills of these superb Ranges, flaws Kali Gandaki River which springs from Nhubine Glacier near to Tibet-Nepal borders. The Saribung Peak is only recently open to the trekkers and climbers and is included in the restricted areas of Annapurna-Mustang Trails.
Alongside the Annapurna Range, between Mustang Himal and Manaslu Himal, lies the picturesque town of Pokhara. The Pokhara region, an excellent viewpoint summits of Dhawalagiri (8167 m/26794 ft), Machhapuchre (7059 m/23159 ft) and Manaslu (8163 m/26781 ft), becomes the last years a hot destination for paragliding and parahawking.
