Anapa is a town situated in the Kray of Krasnodar, on the northern coast of the Black Sea near the Sea of Azov.

Being a sea city, Anapa is popular for many water sports and particularly kitesurfing. There is a spot near the city, Anapa-Blagoveshenskaya or Blaga, where kitesurfing found its home.

The spot quality is great and the place is good for everyone, no matter the level of experience. The beach is public, easy to find and you need a car or a good walk of 15 – 30 minutes, in order to get there.

The Venturi wind blows with medium force, making the spot capable for freestyle, freeride, bump and jump, long distance and speed kitesurfing. The water is very clean and you can see the sandy bottom under your toes.

Wind mainly blows from the southwest and the best direction comes from the south with onshore best direction relative. Blaga beach is usually empty, only some kitesurfers fill the horizon.

The best conditions in order to enjoy perfect kitesurfing are in the morning and afternoon and the best period is from May to October. Blaga is a great beach and with the correct weather conditions, it can become a quality spot worth visiting!!!
