Erlichsee is located in Oberhausen – Rheinhausen nestled between Mannheim and Karlsruhe. Erlichsee is a leisure center about a few hundred meters from the B36.

The center offers camping and new and very sanitary facilities. It is a recreational center where many sports are taking place. Windsurfers love to practice their favourite sport in Erlichsee.

Although the wind speed varies through seasons, the most common speed that windsurfers love is approximately 7 knots/8 mph. With the wind that in its best form coming from west, northwest and the incredible sandy rocky beach, Erlichsee is regarded as a hot spot for windsurfing.  Average air temperature is cold in winter and hot in summer.

Although the spot is great spot for water sports, it is not very crowded with windsurfers. The area is located directly on the lake and has a club house, a boat dock, a boat slip and 2 surf racks. There is a free parking lot at the water.

Authorized SCOR are the following classes of boats: Hobie Cat, Laser, Strale, 470, Corsair and surfboards. Annually 3 – 4 regattas are taking place for over two days using the above instead of boats.
