Suckrock is a popular spot among surf enthusiasts and it is close to another surf break, Voodoo. It is located in the Kurnell National Park, so you are required to pay an entry fee to the park. This site is an exposed reef break and usually offers good waves. The best wind direction is from the north, northwest and the ideal swell direction is from the south, southeast.
Surfers can explore the waves with swell sizes from 1 m-1.5 m/3 ft-5 ft and holds up to 2.5 m/8 ft. The best tide movement is rising and falling tides and the ideal tide position is mid tide. The spot is appropriate for experienced surfers only. In summer the wind blows offshore at 27%, in autumn the wind blows at 39%, in winter at 52% and in spring at 32%.
The best time for waves is autumn. Finally, Suckrock is a nice place for surfers who hate crowds. Watch out for sharks, rips and rocks.
