Perth is the capital city of Western Australia, located on the Swan River. The climate here is classified as Mediterranean, with hot and dry summers and cool and wet winters. There is a vast number of great surf sites on the south coast-side of the metropolitan area. Secrets is an exposed beach break, that is located between Secret Harbour Foreshore Park and Golden Bay. Surfers are able to explore the waves with swell sizes that can start from 1 m-1.5 m/3 ft-5 ft and hold up to 3 m/10 ft. The spot offers very reliable surf conditions, with both left and right hand waves, but the left is usually better.

The best wind direction is from the east, northeast and the ideal swell direction is from the west, southwest. In addition, the surf break is suitable for novice and advanced surfers alike. In summer, the wind blows offshore at 25%, in autumn the wind blows at 40%, in winter at 40% and in spring at 26%. Furthermore, the best tide movement is rising and falling tides and the ideal tide position is all tides.

Finally, Secrets is usually crowded, especially during weekends. Note: be careful of undertow and rips.
